These films are now considered classics and that's without the sexual imagery of today's films. Today's films however feature sexual imagery at its fullest in the bid to make the film a big hit. Such films as basic instinct play on the use of sexual imagery totally. This unsurprisingly was a great hit. Also the box office film Titanic features Kate Winslet naked whilst her play screen lover paints her. It is questionable to whether this scene is actually necessary but it was used, successfully, to try and attract more people to watch the movie.
